Floppy disks with zero track damage are a headache. They often cannot be formatted using DOS's FORMAT command and PCTOOLS' disk formatting function. They often give up the floppy disk, which is obviously a pity. The following is a method of formatting with PCTOOLS.
The formatting steps are as follows:
1. Start PCTOOLS, press F3 to enter the disk function state.
2. Type N and select disk.
3. If you select disk A (1.44M), first select the 720K option to format the disk once, and then select the 1.44M option to format;
If you select disk B (1.2M), first select the 360K option to format the disk once, and then select the 1.2M option to format it.
4. After the formatting is completed, press the ESC key to exit PCTOOLS.
In this way, the formatted floppy disk can be reused.
