How to prevent web script virus execution - from web

I wonder if you have encountered such a thing? When I was in the mood to surf the Internet, suddenly the IE window kept opening until the resources were exhausted and crashed? Recently, shortly after I was online, my computer has been opening the IE window wildly, which eventually led to excessive system memory usage and crash. Although I use IE 6 and have the protection of the virus firewall, I was still hit.
Later, I checked the information and found out that I had been infected with a script virus. In fact, it’s just a thing called “WSH” that is making trouble. The execution of script viruses is inseparable from WSH. The full name of WSH is "Windows Scripting Host", which is a language-independent script interpretation mechanism provided by Microsoft based on the 32-bit Windows platform. It enables scripts to run directly on the Windows desktop or command prompt. The program "" corresponding to WSH is a script language interpreter, located in the folder where Windows is located. Most systems will have WSH after default installation. It is precisely because it allows scripts to be executed, and it also provides a way for script viruses to spread.

WSH was originally intended to allow system administrators to configure desktop environment and system services to achieve minimization management. So it is not very useful for most ordinary users. Therefore, just uninstall it to prevent malicious viruses from being invaded!

The specific method is as follows: Open [My Computer]→[Control Panel]→[Add/Remove Programs] in Windows 98 (or Windows NT 4.0 or above), select "Windows Installer", and then double-click the "Accessories" option in it to pop up. Remove the checkmark of the "Windows Scripting Host" item, and then click [OK] twice to uninstall it. After uninstalling it, I went online, and I never encountered malicious code again. It seems that it is still very effective!

In addition, there are some common ways to prevent malicious scripts:

1. You can delete all script files with the suffix "VBS, VBE, JS, JSE, WSH, WSF" in the file type by opening "My Computer", click [View] → [Folder Options] → [File Type]. This way these files will not be executed.

2. Banning ActiveX plug-ins, controls and Java related all in IE settings can also avoid some malicious code attacks. The method is: open IE, click [Tools] → [Internet Options] → [Security] → [Custom Level], and in the "Security Settings" dialog box, all ActiveX plug-ins and controls and Java-related components are disabled. However, after doing this, we cannot appreciate some beautifully made web pages.

3. Timely upgrade the system and IE and patch it. Choose a good antivirus software and upgrade it in time. Don’t easily browse some websites of unknown origin. In this way, most of the malicious code will be rejected by us.
