cnnic inverse address resolution application method

Reverse parsing FAQ

1. What kind of reverse analysis can CNNIC do?
Answer: CNNIC is responsible for reverse parsing the IP addresses issued to CNNIC. Reverse domain name resolution is carried out in units of /16 or /24, with the condition that the member applies.

2. Can CNNIC perform reverse parsing for IP addresses that are not issued by CNNIC?
Answer: For IP addresses not issued by CNNIC, CNNIC cannot reversely resolve them.

3. Can CNNIC perform reverse resolution for a specific IP address?
Answer: If our member’s customer requests a reverse resolution request for a separate IP address to the member, please fill out the "Reverse resolution application form" and submit a /24 (Class C) reverse resolution request to us. After we complete the resolution, our members will further reverse resolution for a separate IP address to their customers. We are responsible for reverse analysis for CNNIC members, and members are responsible for reverse analysis for their customers.

4. How long does it take to process the reverse analysis application?
Answer: After receiving the "reverse analysis application form" submitted by the member, CNNIC will reply to notify the member that we have started accepting it. After about 1 to 2 working days, we will send a letter to notify the member that the reverse analysis has been completed and ask them to check the analysis results. If we are still notified by us after two working days, please call us to inquire: 010-62619750 to "Technology Department IP Group".

5. How to check whether reverse parsing takes effect?
Answer: Members can use the following command at the command prompt (cmd) to check whether the reverse parsing takes effect:
Take 159.226.6.0/24 as an example
1) nslookup
2) lserver 159.226.1.8
3) 6.226.
If the parsing is successful, after entering the above command, the corresponding server (Server) information will appear.
