Instructions for use of Emm386, Lh, Memmaker commands

em386 Extended memory management

[Suggestions] This command is quite complicated, and will be introduced in detail in the system configuration in Chapter 5.

lh/loadhigh Load the program into high-end memory

[Applicable occasions] This command is generally used when some software requires a large amount of basic memory.
When it works

[Usage] lh [Program]

Loading the program into high-end memory When using this command, the following two must be included in the file.
statement. device= dos=umb

lh [Program] /l: Area Code Load the program into the specified umb area

lh /s is generally used for memmaker

[Example] C:\MOUSE\>lh mouse Load the mouse driver into high-end memory

[Applicable occasions] This command is rarely used now. When DOS was popular in the past, it was inevitable to play games.
It, it can free up a lot of basic memory for the game to use, just install it once

[Usage] 1. C:\>memmaker

2. Enter to continue, F3 exits

3. Select manual installation and automatic installation, and directly enter means automatic installation (return)

4. Select whether there is a program that needs to be expanded. You can use the space bar to select it. Yes means you need it.
No, press Enter.

5. The program automatically detects whether WINDOWS is installed in the hard disk

6. If there is a floppy disk in the floppy drive, you should take it out and press Enter. The computer will restart.
Twice, don't interrupt, just press Enter.
