Install the address bar for the registry editor

Whether it is Windows 98 or Windows XP, the system's default registry editor cannot get rid of the fact that as long as the registry key value is modified, the key value must be expanded step by step in the registry editor. You may have thought that if the registry editor has an address bar like the IE browser, and you can quickly locate it by simply typing or copying the specific path of the key value into the address bar, wouldn’t you be able to find the key value quickly?

RegEditX (Registry Editor Extensions) is a tool software that adds an address bar to the system's default registry editor. The software is small, but it can add very practical features to the registry editor, and it is available for everyone to use for free. First, go to /ftp/ to download the RegEditX installer. After the installation is successful, click "Start → Run", type "Regeditx" and then press Enter. Have you found that the current registry editor has changed?

Suppose we want to expand the [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon] branch now. Just type this path in the address bar, or copy the path directly into the address bar, and then press Enter to immediately locate the branch you need to find. It's very convenient! However, it should be noted that the path in the address bar cannot include extra spaces, and of course, it cannot delete necessary spaces. For example, the spaces between Windows and NT cannot be deleted, otherwise an error will occur.
