CE1PRI interface

The CE1/PRI interface has two ways of working: E1 working (also known as the non-channel working method) and CE1/PRI working method (also known as the channel working method).

When the CE1/PRI interface uses the E1 working mode, it is equivalent to an interface with no time slot and data bandwidth of 2Mbps. Its logical characteristics are the same as the synchronous serial port, it supports data link layer protocols such as PPP, frame relay, LAPB and X.25, and supports network protocols such as IP and IPX.

When the CE1/PRI interface uses the CE1/PRI working mode, it is physically divided into 32 time slots, corresponding to numbers 0~31, where 0 time slots are used to transmit synchronization information. There are two ways to use this interface: CE1 interface and PRI interface.

When using the interface as a CE1 interface, all time slots except 0 timeslots can be arbitrarily divided into several channels sets. Each time slot is bundled and used as an interface. Its logical characteristics are the same as the synchronous serial port, and it supports data link layer protocols such as PPP, frame relay, LAPB and X.25, and supports network protocols such as IP and IPX.

When using the interface as a PRI interface, the time slot 16 is used as a D channel to transmit signaling. Therefore, only a set of time slots can be selected from the time slots except the 0 and 16 timeslots as B channels, and they are bundled into a pri set with the 16 timeslots. It is used as an interface. Its logical characteristics are the same as the ISDN PRI interface, supports PPP data link layer protocol, supports network protocols such as IP and IPX, and can configure parameters such as DCC.
