Steps to upgrade Catalyst6000 from CatOS to Native IOS

1. Back up the configuration of CATOS and MSFC.
2. Put the IOS file into the FLASH card of slot0. Such as c6sup12-jsv-mz.121-11b.EX1

3. Use the dir slot0: command to confirm that the file is already in the flash card in slot0.

4. Configure Catos startup parameters and will be started to ROMMON next time:

Console>(enable)set boot config-register 0x0

5. Switch to MSFC:

Console>(enable)session 15

6. Modify the configuration parameters of MSFC:

Router# configure terminal 

Router(config)# config-register 0x2102 

Router(config)# end 

Router#

7. Save the configuration and return to the exchange state.

8. Restart the switch. And enter ROMMON state

9. Enter the following command in the ROMMON state:

rommon 1 > CONFIG_FILE= 

rommon 2 > sync 

rommon 3 > boot slot0:c6sup12-jsv-mz.121-11b.EX1

10. Format sup-bootflash after startup:

Router# format sup-bootflash: 

11. Copy the system image from slot0: to sup-bootflash::

Router# copy slot0:c6sup12-jsv-mz.121-11b.EX1 sup-bootflash: 

12. Set relevant startup parameters and restart:

Router(config)# boot system flash sup-bootflash:c6sup12-jsv-mz.121-11b.EX1 

Router(config)# config-register 0x102 

Router# write memory 

Router# reload
