IE: Temporary file saving method

It is time to reinstall the computer, but how to save IE temporary files saved by countless web pages, and you can also browse offline in the newly installed system.

Many friends' answer is to back up Temporary Internet Files in the Windows directory. We all know that Temporary Internet Files is the place to store temporary IE files, but I think many people have tried this method, but it doesn't work. The content seems to be backed up, but it cannot be browsed offline. Why? Because we missed two important ones, one is index..dat in the cookies directory under the windows directory, and the other is under Content.IE5 in the Temporary Internet Files directory. When reinstalling the system, we should first back up these two files. Then back up the Temporary Internet Files directory.

After reinstalling the system, you should first delete all the contents under Temporary Internet Files, and then copy the original Temporary Internet Files you have backed up. However, the restoration is not that simple. You must return to MS-DOS mode and use the COPY command to copy them back. Since the path is very long and they are invisible by the system folder, you can do this by making a batch file.

Then restart and enter Windows to see if the content is back.
