IE: Relocate temporary folders

IE usually stores temporary files in temporary folders on disk C. So, what should I do if the C drive is full? If there is more space left in another hard disk partition, you can set the temporary folder of IE in this drive. Now let’s take a look at the specific approach.

First copy the old folder to the new one. Go to the "C:/Windows/Temporary Internet Files" directory and move this folder to drive D. Then, run IE browser and select the Internet Options command in the Tools menu. When the dialog box opens, click the Settings button in the "Internet Temporary File" column in the "General" tab. In the Settings dialog box, click the Move Folder button. In the pop-up "Browse Folder" select the new folder in the D disk and click the "OK" key. Then, click OK in the "Settings" dialog box, and a dialog box will appear to allow us to restart Windows and click the "Yes" key.

The computer will restart. Run IE browser. You will find that all temporary files are stored in the newly set drive.
