Confirm again and enter the partition wizard. It should be noted that the disk partition of FreeBSD is different from that of Windows. In addition to the hard disk partition, there is also a Label partition. We still press the A key and use automatic partitioning. The software will allocate appropriate disk partitions and virtual memory to us and press the Q key to complete.
What you see now is a relatively important part, choose the software installation package. We only need a brand new and clean FreeBSD, here we choose the penultimate Minimal installation mode, press the space bar to confirm. It should be noted here that FreeBSD has a very convenient package management and installer called ports, similar to Ubunut's Apt-get, which we generally have to install. We select the last item in the menu and enter the detailed package settings.
Use the space bar to check ports, then select the first item Exit, and return to the previous menu. Then select the first item Exit and end the selection.
Ask about the installation media we are using, here we select CD/DVD to confirm.
Warn us that the installation will be started soon and the hard disk will be officially written. Select Yes to start the installation, and select No to return to the previous installation steps.
After the partition operation is completed, copying files begins and FreeBSD 7.0 is being installed.
Wait for a moment and the installation is completed. Confirm to enter the next setup process.
