Set up the network card and confirm.


Selecting the first item is usually your first local network card. Then you will ask if you are an IPv6 network. At present, our mainstream network is still IPv4, choose No. Ask if you use DHCP network to automatically configure the network. If your network router has this feature enabled, be sure to select Yes, otherwise select No.


Set network parameters, if you use DHCP settings, it is now set. If not, please fill in the network information manually. The items that need to be filled in in sequence are the host name, domain name, IP address, DNS server address, gateway address, subnet mask and additional parameters. If you don't know this information, please consult your network administrator. Press the Tab key to switch the form items, and after filling in, select OK to end. Then you will be prompted whether to start the network now and start the network automatically. Generally, you will choose Yes.



Configure system services, select Yes to enter configuration, and No will not be configured. The configuration screen is a text editor with various service parameters. Press Esc to finish after setting it. If you don’t know what this is, please do not set it or end it directly.


Whether to enable the SHH function, this is a remote terminal connection service, and the server is generally enabled. Additional system settings, select No.

Whether to enable anonymous FTP service, select No. NFS Server and NFS Client, select No.



Whether to set the time, select Yes. You will be prompted later whether to use UTC time or native CMOS time, select as needed. If you choose No, you need to select the time zone next, and we choose China Standard Time in Asia.


Whether you need to install a Linux software compatible program, if you choose Yes, your operating system can use Linux software. Set as needed.

Set the mouse and select it as needed.


Whether to install some software packages that come with the installation CD, we can choose No.


To create a user, we select Yes, and then select the User item to create a new user.


The contents that need to be filled in are: login username, user ID, user group, password, complete name, home directory and default command line program. Generally, we just need to fill in the username and password here, and select OK to complete it. Then return to the previous screen, you can choose to create another user or select Exit to end the user creation process.
