How to share ADSL under WIN2000

1. Click "Safety Measures" and select "Advanced" in this tab.

2. Click "Next" and fill in the address bar to connect to the server side (the IP address you fill in is provided in advance by the local ISP).

3. Click the "Settings" button, select "Optional encryption (can be connected without encryption)" in "Data Encryption", and then select "Unencrypted Password (PAP)" in "Allow these protocols".

4. In the "Network and Dial-up Connection" window, right-click the "New Connection" icon and select "New Connection (N)...".

5. Click the "Properties" option to open the "Network and Dial-up Connections" window, right-click "Local Connections" and select the "Properties" option.

6. Select "Automatically obtain IP address" and "Automatically obtain DNS address" in the properties window, and click "Advanced (V)...".

7. In the "Advanced TCP/IP Settings" window, select "Use default gateway on remote network" (required), and then click "OK" to end.

8. Click "OK" and click "Yes (Y)" in the pop-up window.

9. Click "New Connection (N)..." to open the "Network Connection Wizard" window.

10. In the Components window in the "Network" tab, select "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" and click "Properties".

11. Click the "Properties" option to open the "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties" window, fill in the IP address and subnet mask of the internal LAN, and click "OK" (the DNS server address filled in is provided in advance by the local ISP).

12. First, right-click "Online Neighbors" on the desktop, a shortcut menu pops up and select the "Properties" option.

13. Click "Next", and type the connection name in the blank to name the connection, and finally click "Finish".

14. Click "Next" and select "Connect to a private network through the Internet" in the "Select as follows".

15. In the window that opens, fill in the address of the connected host server again (the IP address is pre-provided by the local ISP).

16. Click "Next". If you are using the Internet on a stand-alone basis, select "Just use this connection myself" and select "All users use this connection".

17. Click the "Properties" option to open the "Local Connection Properties" window, select "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" in the component window, and select the "Properties" option.

18. Click the "Connection***" icon to open the "Connection***" window, select and click the "Properties" option.
