Nine tips on Win 2003 system setup tips

1. Turn on D3D hardware acceleration for DirectX:

Look at the desktop properties, Settings -> Advanced -> Troubleshooting -> Hardware Acceleration -> Complete. Run , open the Display tab, and you will see that all 3 items are enabled. Finally, install DirectX 9.0a in Windows Server 2003 using Windows updates.

2. Enable the sound card:

After the system is installed, the sound card is in a prohibited state, so you must set it to display in the taskbar in Control Panel -> Sound -> Enable, and then restart.

Now we also need to enable audio acceleration. Enter while running and press Enter. The Services window will appear. Find

Windows Audio service, double-click to open, set the startup type to Automatic, click Apply, and then click Start to start the service.

Finally, we need to use the DirectX diagnostic tool, enter dxdiag in the run and press Enter, open the Sound tab, and drag the slider of the Hardware Sound Acceleration Level to Full.

3. How to enable ASP support:

Windows Server 2003 is installed by default and does not install IIS 6, and needs to be installed separately. After installing IIS 6, support for ASP needs to be enabled separately. The method is:

8. Disable power-on CTRL+ALT+DEL:

Administrative Tools -> Local Security Settings -> Local Policy -> Security Options -> Interactive Logon: Do not require CTRL+ALT+DEL, disable it. Use with caution! Maybe you won't be able to get into the system.

Note: For the sake of system security, do not leave the administrator's password blank when setting it first.

Symantec Norton Antivirus Corporate 8.01

Norton Personal Firewall 2003

Some netizens complained that they couldn't afford to play games in 2003, and I believe they had read this article and should be able to play. There are still a few points to pay attention to:

1 Right-click the desktop/properties/settings/advanced/troubleshooting, and set the hardware acceleration to the highest;

2 Install DiectX9.0, run Dxdiag, and start all the settings in the display/sound, mainly 3D acceleration.

3 Reinstall the latest graphics card driver, start the graphics card-related services in the management tools/services (such as installing the 42.30WHQL driver for NVIDIA graphics cards, start the NVIDIA Driver Helper Service in the service and increase it to automatic).

4 Just make further relevant settings in the graphics card properties.
