Break through firewall restrictions using Http channels

Many companies have imposed strict restrictions on firewalls, so many network services such as QQ and MSN cannot run. If you can still open web pages, then using Http channel software can allow you to break through the restrictions and use any network service in existing network conditions.

Using Http channel software can break through the limitations of the firewall and use the permissions of unique Http access to obtain other Internet applications. So what is a channel? The so-called channel here refers to a communication method that bypasses the blocking of the firewall port. The packets at both ends of the firewall are encapsulated on the type of packets or ports allowed by the firewall, and then communicate with the other party through the firewall. When the encapsulated packet reaches the destination, the packet is restored and the restored packet is forwarded to the corresponding server.

It is a company that specializes in providing Http channel services. Through their online Tunnel Server, users in the LAN can use ICQ, E-mail, PC Anywhere, MSN, QQ, Napster and other software blocked by the firewall.

Tunnel Server using Http-tunnel must use Http-tunnel client program Http-Tunnel Client. The free version of Http-Tunnel Client allows 40Kb/second data forwarding service.

1. Program installation and settings
1. Run the downloaded installation program. The installation process is relatively simple and you can complete it all the way Next.

2. After the installation is completed, the "Configuration" window will pop up, setting up the Internet connection of the machine, and there are three options:
a) Auto detected: If you don't know your machine connection, you can choose this.
b) No Proxy, only a firewall (only a firewall): users who use LAN and directly access the Internet choose this.
c) Specify Proxy: If you use a proxy server to surf the Internet, select this, and you must also enter the address and port of the proxy server. If you need a user name and password, you also need to enter it together.

3. Set up the connection and click the "Test" button to test it. If you see the prompt "Test successful", it means that your settings have been completed.

4. After the program runs normally, it can be minimized. It will generate a lower icon in the prompt area of the taskbar and click to restore.

2. Set up QQ access
Since the port used for QQ to access externally is 4000, network administrators usually restrict QQ access by restricting the use of ports. Here is how to set QQ to access the Internet through http-tunnel.

1. Open QQ, click the "QQ Menu" button, and select "System Parameters".
2. In the pop-up QQ parameter setting window, select "Network Settings".
3. Tick "Use Proxy Server".
4. Enter the proxy server address: 127.0.0.1, port number: 1080.
5. Confirm, close all windows, log in again and use QQ.

3. Set up MSN access
The access settings of MSN are similar to QQ, but http-tunnel supports MSN much better than QQ. The settings steps are as follows:

1. Select Options from the Tools menu.
2. Select the "Connection" tab.
3. Tick "I use a proxy server".
4. Select "SOCKS4" in type, enter "127.0.0.1" in the server, and port number "1080".
5. OK, close all windows, log in again and use MSN.

4. Set up Cuteftp access
Sometimes, in order to control the use of network bandwidth and ensure information security, network administrators need to restrict FTP services, which brings inconvenience to upload and download files. Settings can also ensure that Cuteftp can achieve Internet access. The settings steps are as follows:

1. Select the "Edit" menu, select "Settings", and the settings window will pop up.
2. Expand "Connection", select "SOCKS", select "SOCKs4", host: 127.0.0.1 Port: 1080. ()
3. Select "Firewall", and tick "Enable Firewall Access" and "PASV Mode"
4. OK, close all windows, and select the site to log in to download the file.

5. Set up the remote desktop connection of Windows XP using Http-Tunnel
Since the remote desktop connection does not provide a proxy server settings interface, it cannot be set directly like QQ, MSN and Cuteftp. At this time, we can use SocksCap to assist us in completing the process. The specific steps are:

1. Install SocksCap.
2. Run SocksCap, select "Settings" in the "File" menu, and the "SocksCap Settings" dialog box pops up.
3. In "Server/SOCKS Server" and fill in 127.0.0.1, and in "Port)" 1080.
4. Select "SOCKS Version 4" in "Protocol" and select "Resolve all names remote" in "Domain Name Resolution".
5. Click the "New" button and enter mstsc in "Identification Item Name".
6. Click the "Browse" button to find the location of the file.
7. Click the "OK" button.

When using it, double-click the mstsc icon in the SocksCap list to start mstsc. Mstsc access to the network will be done through the proxy springboard. It should be noted that you must start mstsc from SocksCap, otherwise the proxy springboard will not be used. In fact, many Internet applications that cannot be set up can realize the function of the Http channel in this way.
