System startup exception caused by CPU fan

Recently, a friend hurriedly found me and said that his computer could not start normally. The monitor cannot light up after turning on the computer, and the PC speaker keeps alarming.

The author first thought that the accessories may be loose after long-term use, so he disconnected all power supplies, unplugged the graphics card, CPU and memory stick, and then carefully plugged them back in. Turn on again, the monitor still fails to light up. The author also carefully checked the hard disk data cable and the I/O parts of the soft and hard disks, but found no signs of looseness. Is it because of poor contact on the line? So we used a test pen to test each interface part. However, no short circuits or poor contact were found.

The author quickly asked my friend about the recent use of the computer. A friend said that he just replaced a high-power cooling fan for the CPU a few days ago, and this happened after replacing a new fan. But the fan was tried in the computer city, and there was no problem when used on other people's computers.

The next day, the author took off his CPU fan "Chief Freezing Officer" and came to his friend's house again. With the idea of giving it a try, I removed my friend’s CPU cooling fan and replaced it with my own. Everything returns to normal after booting! It seems that the "culprit" of the entire incident is the friend's newly bought CPU fan!

Given that my friend is using the MSI 6163BX motherboard, the author suddenly realized that the motherboards in this series have fan speed measurement function. The author guesses that is whether the new fan that my friend replaced does not support this speed test? So the author entered the BIOS settings of the motherboard and saw that the fan speed measurement function was indeed turned on! He quickly turned off the fan speed test item, and after shutting down the phone, he replaced the friend's cooling fan again. As I expected, everything is normal this time! In this way, everything will be "bright" - for motherboards without fan speed measurement function, there will be no problem using a new fan like a friend; for motherboards with this function, turning off the CPU fan speed measurement function can also avoid failures!

So I would like to remind all friends that when encountering such problems and other methods cannot work, you might as well start with the hardware matching to see if the newly purchased accessories does not support a certain special function - such as the CPU fan in this case does not support the motherboard speed measurement function. This may help the seemingly difficult problem to be "solved"!
