ADSL disconnection involves many problems, including line failure (line interference), ADSL Modem failure (heating, quality, compatibility), network card failure (slow speed, old driver), etc. Operators and users should do the following general checks: Whether the ADSL telephone cable connector is safe and reliable: whether it is away from the power cord and high-power electronic equipment; whether the telephone extension, fax machine, meter and other equipment are installed between the ADSL entry cable and the separator: whether the separator is installed correctly; eliminate the old ISA network card and replace it with a 10/100M PCI network card and the latest driver; whether the ADSL Modem heat dissipation is good; whether the ADSL Modem indicator light is normal.
The reasons and methods for ADSL disconnection are as follows:
(1) Ground wire quality issues.
The PC grounding performance must be good. Otherwise, static electricity will affect the ADSL transmission rate and may even cause disconnection. Generally, the PC grounding resistance should be less than 10Ω. In addition, due to irregular power supply distribution during construction, some do not have grounding wires, or the grounding wire quality is not up to standard, which will also affect the normal use of network equipment and even cause disconnection problems, and should be rectified in time.
(2) There is a strong interference source on the line.
Strong signal interference sources such as radio towers, welding machines, trams or high-voltage power transformers within 100m away from the user's cable line make the user receive clutter (weak shielding of copper-clad steel wires and strong signal reception ability) cause strong interference to the user's line. The disturbed signal often enters from the unshielded lower line part, because the relay cable has a shielding layer and the interference is very small. If some shielded lower line is used in places with large interference, the rate instability or disconnection caused by interference will be reduced. In addition, the power cord cannot be parallel to the ADSL line to prevent crosstalk from causing ADSL failure.
(3) The quality of the network card is unstable.
The failure phenomenon is that once the network is disconnected, it will never be connected. The DSL light of the user Modem is always on, and the line failure is basically eliminated. Most of the problems are on the network card. If the network cable, microcomputer, and slot problems are excluded, the network card quality is generally unstable, and the network card should be replaced in time.
(4) The user line distance is long.
Irregular disconnection is mostly caused by poor line quality or long distance. ADSL testers can be used to test signal attenuation and interference strength to find better line replacement. Generally, the relay line of the user should not exceed 5km, and the telephone line from the branch box to enter the user's room should not exceed 100m.
(5) You can access the Internet, but the phone is disconnected.
The reason is that the terminal board line is broken between the interchange. Because the disconnection head and the terminal board are very close, data induction can pass, and voice cannot pass; if the user is very close to the local end, the indoor line mixing line can also cause the above fault.
(6) Do not take into account both Internet access and call.
Generally, it is poor external insulation or poor contact with the joint. The external insulation of the user's external line is poor. When the user is surfing the Internet, the alarm light flashes as soon as he takes the phone handle. The WAN light goes out. After the external line is repaired, the fault is immediately released.
(7) Can call, but disconnect from the Internet.
Generally, if a user connects the wrong cable, the cable connected to the Modem to the phone will be used, and the Internet will be disconnected. At this time, the ADSL Modem status light LINE light does not light up. When checking for faults, you should first carefully check the wiring position of the equipment and try to avoid misconnection of wiring.
(8) Error serial phone extension.
Due to incorrect connection between the telephone extension, crosstalk is caused and distortion of Internet data. If a telephone extension must be used, a splitter should be connected in series.
