3. Personal experience
This is all my experience summarized, and I believe it will be of great help to everyone.
1. Optimize your mouse
Don't underestimate it, the right settings can transform your mouse. First of all, I recommend that friends who use branded mouse must install the corresponding driver to get a better feeling, and the winter will be smoother and more comfortable. Friends with miscellaneous brands please install the latest Logitech driver. It is universal. I have tried it. After installing it, I used 3 cheap mice (about 10 yuan). The feeling in CS is comparable to the Shuangfeiyan bought by my friend for more than 50 yuan.
In addition, expand "Mouse and Other Pointer Devices" in 2000/XP, enter the mouse properties, select the "Advanced Devices" page, and adjust the "Sampling Rate" to the maximum value here. It can increase the resolution of your mouse and the effect will be better. If your mouse belongs to the type without a scroll wheel, change "Mouse wheel detection" to "Detection is disabled", otherwise select "Suppose the mouse wheel already exists". If your mouse has no problems during use, don't cancel the "Quick Initialization". After setting this way, it feels so good that your right hand feels so good! !
2. ADSL dialing acceleration
Many friends now use ADSL to access broadband. I believe that more friends use XP's own dialing software like me (good compatibility and fewer disconnections). Try my method and you will find that dialing will be faster in normal times (someone who also applies to other dialing tools, but the effect is not as obvious as before)
Enter the network connection - dialing software connection properties window (that is, the connection established by right-clicking the dialing software) - Options - Cancel the above 3 selections and set the replay interval to 1 second. Try it now, it's much faster.
Another additional knowledge: Don’t put your phone near Modem in normal times. The phone will automatically search the network every short time. Strong signal interference is enough to cause ADSL to be disconnected or even disconnected. This has been ignored by many people. I also discovered it unintentionally and searched for information online and confirmed.
3. Make the web page automatically update
Sometimes I often find that the website has not updated any time, but after "refreshing", I find that it has been updated. What is the reason? Internet Options - The "Internet Temporary File" setting button under the "General" option page, select "Every time check for IE every time you start" in the pop-up "Settings dialog box, so that there will be no problems again.
4. Reinstallation of IE
For IE5.0:
Step 1: Open the "Registration Editor", find [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE＼Software＼Microsoft＼Internet Explorer], and click the Version Vector key below it.
Step 2: Double-click the IE subkey in the right pane, change the original "5.0002" to "4.0", click "OK" and exit the "Registration Editor".
Step 3: Restart and reinstall IE 5.0.
For IE6.0:
Method 1: Open the "Registration Editor", find [HKEY_LOCAL_ MACHINE＼SOFTWARE＼Microsoft＼Active Setup＼Installed Components＼{89820200-ECBD-11cf-8B85-00AA005B4383}], and change the DWORD value of IsInstalled to 0.
Method 2: Put in the Windows XP installation disk and type "setupapi, InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 132%windir%＼Inf＼” in the "Start → Run" window.
5. Tips on "Delete/Uninstall"
(1) About uninstall
First of all, I strongly hope that some novices will not use the simple method of deleting the folder where the software is installed to uninstall, which is fatal to the stability of the system.
If the software comes with an uninstaller, please use it to uninstall it. And, if it is a "UNWISE" program, there will be "Automatic/Custom", please select the latter and always select "Select All". This can safely delete the software and registry-related information together. If there is no choice, please select "Add/Delete" in the control panel. Of course, I personally recommend the "Software Intelligent Uninstall" function of the Optimizer, which can automatically analyze the files associated with the specified software in the hard disk and the relevant information registered in the registry, and clear it after compressing and backup. If users need to reuse or encounter problems after uninstalling, they can restore the uninstalled software from the backup and recovery manager provided by Windows Optimizer at any time.
Added one: Many times you will find that programs that have been deleted normally will appear in the "Add/Delete" list, which is annoying. You can try a solution: because the uninstaller of each software will correspond to a .cpl file of the same name to register records in "Add/Delete", so you can search the mountain in the system to remove it.
(2) About deletion
I believe that many friends often face the inability to delete. I have summarized the following solutions for your reference.
a. Check and close the process that is associated with the file or folder.
b. Use the function of "compressed and delete source files" provided by "WinRAR". (Suitable for small files)
c. Open the "Command Prompt" window, press "Ctrl+Alt+Del" to open the task manager to close the process (it is best to close all programs before this), and finally switch to the command prompt window that was opened previously, use the DOS command to enter the folder that cannot be deleted, enter "Del folder name/folder name" to delete the folder. After the deletion is complete, select "File → New Task" in the Task Manager and enter "" to rebuild the system's shell.
d. In addition, when deleting media files, the system's "preview function" is not turned off, resulting in the deletion failure. Solution: Start-run, enter: "regsvr32/u " command to turn off the "video preview" function, and in addition, "Regsvr32/u " prohibits the "picture preview" function.
