Four common methods for processing printer paper feed failures

4 types of paper feeding faults for printers

During frequent use of printers, they often fail to deal with paper failures, mostly because of paper clipping, not feeding, multiple pages of paper at a time, and random paper removal. How to deal with these failures?

The solution is as follows:

1. Extreme solution to paper clamping of printers.

1. Is the surface of the printing paper flat? If the printer paper is clamped, you should first check whether the surface of the printing paper is flat. If the paper is curled or wrinkled, it is best to use a flat and smooth paper and ensure that there are no adhesive-like attachments on the surface of the printing paper.

2. The printing paper is too thin or too much. It is necessary to ensure that the quality of the printing paper exceeds more than 60 grams. Too thin the printing paper will make it difficult for the printer to remove the paper, which can easily cause the printer to clamp paper. And the printing paper should not be too thick at one time.

3. The paper picking roller is worn. Paper picking rollers are the most likely part of laser printing to wear. When the paper in the paper tray is normal and the paper cannot be retrieved, the paper pickup roller is often worn or the spring is loose. The pressure is insufficient and the paper cannot be fed into the machine. When the paper picking roller is worn and cannot be replaced for the time being, emergency treatment can be performed by wrapping rubber bands. After wrapping the rubber band, the friction force of the paper pickup can be increased, which can restore the paper feeding back to normal.

4. Others. Improper installation of the paper tray, poor paper quality (too thin, too thick, moisture), etc., may also cause paper jams or paper failures.

2. Causes and solutions for not feeding paper.

1. Put too much printing paper. First check whether the installation of the printing paper meets the standards, such as whether the loading position has exceeded the arrow mark on the left rail of the printer. If it exceeds the printing paper, the printing paper must be reduced.

2. Foreign objects are blocked. Check whether there are any foreign objects inside the printer. For example, if paper clips appear in the printer, it will lead to no paper feeding. If there is a foreign object, it must be eliminated. When eliminating, be sure to turn off the printer power first and then carefully remove the foreign object. If you remove the paper clip, you must slowly pull the paper clip out along the paper outlet direction. After removing the paper clip, you must also check whether there are any remaining shredded papers, and ensure that the shredded paper is also cleaned.

3. The printing paper is wet. If the paper used is stored for too long and the surface feels damp, there may be no paper feeding. What we need to do at this time is to dry the paper.

4. Whether the ink is used up. If you are using an inkjet printer, the indicator light of the black or colored ink cartridge is flashing or is on, indicating that the ink is about to run out. If the ink cartridge is empty, the printer will not be able to feed paper.

3. There are 4 reasons for entering multiple pages at a time.

1. The location of the printing paper. Incorrect placement of the printing paper will lead to multiple pages of paper being inserted. The correct paper height cannot be higher than the arrow mark on the guide rail on the left side of the paper trough; secondly, check whether the printing paper specifications meet the usage requirements: only printing paper with a weight of 60 to 180 grams can meet the requirements, while ultra-thin printing paper with a weight of less than 60 grams is prone to excessive paper feeding at the same time.

2. The curl level of the printing paper surface. Curling also causes multiple pages of paper to be put into each other at a time. To do this, you must ensure that the surface of the paper is smooth and smooth. If it is a little curled, you can find a way to flatten it.

3. The influence of electrostatic induction. Electrostatic induction can also cause the phenomenon of multi-sheet paper to be put into the paper at a time. Before installing the paper, the paper must be spread out in a fan shape to ensure that each sheet can be separated separately, and then the paper is loaded into the paper guide slot in the correct way.

4. Adjust the position of the lever. For printers with paper thickness adjustment function, it is important to adjust the position of the adjustment lever. When using different paper materials, the position of the paper thickness adjustment rod is also different. For example, when using printing paper of conventional thickness, the position of the adjustment rod must be set to "0". Of course, the adjustment standards of adjustment lever of different printers are different, so it is best to refer to the instruction manual.

4. The printer is running paper randomly.

When printing to a certain page, a piece of paper suddenly disappears, and then it will be printed automatically. This is often the reason why the printer makes a wrong judgment due to wear and dust in the printer. Disassemble the printer, find the paper detection switch and carefully clean it with alcohol, which can restore normality.
