Solutions to the printer not responding page 1/2

I wonder if you have encountered such a situation, that is, after issuing a printing command to the printer through software, the printer will not respond at all.
So how can we solve this problem if we really encounter this situation in actual operation? I hope the content below this article can help you.

1. First check whether the printer has been set to "pause printing". If so, no matter how you send a printing command to the printer, the printer will definitely not accept the printing command. If you want the printer to accept the user's response, you can cancel the "pause printing" setting; when canceling this setting, you can first open the printer operation window, and then right-click the program icon of the printer installed in the current system. From the pop-up shortcut menu, you can see that there is a check mark in front of the "pause printing" command item. Just click the command option with the mouse to cancel the "pause printing" setting.

2. Check whether the printer connected to the computer has been set as the default printer. Since in many Windows programs, when clicking the "Print" command, the program will transfer the currently opened page content to the default printer. If the printer you are using is not set as the default printer in advance, the printed content cannot be transferred to the currently installed printer, and the document will naturally not be printed.

At this time, you can first open the printer operation window, right-click the corresponding printer icon, and select the "Set as Default" command from the shortcut menu that pops up later to set the printer as the default printer used by all Windows programs.

3. Check whether the printer is already online. If the printer is not online, the printer will naturally not work. To keep the printer online, it is necessary to ensure that the power supply of the printer has been turned on, the power switch of the printer must be turned on, the paper of the printer must be properly placed, the toner, ink cartridges or ribbons in the printer must be effective, and to ensure that there is no paper jam at the current printer.

Of course, the most direct way to see if a printer is online is to see if the "Online" indicator on the printer control panel is on.

4. Check which port of the current program should use. When checking, you can click "Start"/"Settings"/"Control Panel"/"Print" in the Windows system desktop. Then, in the open printer window, find the corresponding printer icon, right-click it, and then select the "Properties" command in the shortcut menu. In the pop-up printer properties dialog box, click the "Detailed Information" tab. In the "Print to the following port" setting item under the label page, check whether the printer has been set to the appropriate printing port.
