Modify the registry and hold "My computer" up

Windows 98 is the operating system most used by ordinary users, and some of its common operations have long become a habit. The release of the new operating system has added some new functions, and has also modified some operation content. For example, in Windows 98 and previous versions of operating systems, the "My Computer" icon on the desktop is above "My Documents", and the new operating system Windows 2000/XP is just reversed, which is not good news for the "new family" who have long been accustomed to Windows 98 operations.

In the past, we could click on the upper left corner of the desktop to open the "My Computer" window, but now due to "inertia", we often have "misoperation". In the face of Microsoft's "hegemony", is it adaptation or correction? Haha, as DIY, of course we choose the latter. Here I will give you a "weapon" to correct this small problem (Windows XP is only an example).

Click the "Start" button, select the "Run" item, fill in "Regedit" in the input box and press Enter, open the registry editor, expand the primary key in sequence in the window on the left: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{450D8FBA-AD25-11D0-98A8-0800361B1103}, and find a DWORD key value named "SortOrderIndex" in the right window. Through this key value, we can easily control the up and down relationship between "My Computer" and "My Document". Change to "48" in hexadecimal, and the "My Computer" icon is located under "My Documents", and the original "54" value is the opposite. After modifying and closing the registry, you can see the results.

Special reminder, this operation also affects the arrangement of the address bar drop-down list and the "Find Range" drop-down list in the open window.
