Quickly locate the registry favorites branch

IE has favorites, and in Windows 2000/XP, the registry also has a favorite. With this favorite, we can quickly locate commonly used branches in the registry.

1. Add and delete registry keys

First find and select a registry key to add, click the menu "Favorites → Add to Favorites", enter an intuitive name for the registry key in the dialog box that appears, and after "OK", the entry will be added to the favorite list. To delete unnecessary registry keys from the collection list, just click the menu "Favorites → Delete Favorites", select the registry keys to be deleted in the window that appears, and click "OK".

2. Backup of registry favorites

The favorites of the registry are saved directly in the registry. Open the Registry Editor, locate [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Applets\Regedit\Favorites], execute the menu "File → Export", and export the "Favorites" branch into a registry file. When you need to restore the registry favorites, just double-click the above registry file and import it into the registry.
