6. Repeated stains appear on the printing paper
The repeated dirty failure of needle printers is mostly caused by ribbon hair removal or excessive ink, so it can be eliminated by replacing the ribbon cartridge; the repeated dirtyness of inkjet printers is caused by ink leakage in the ink box or ink pipe; when the nozzle performance is poor, the ejected ink cannot be well disconnected from the remaining ink and is in a balanced state, and ink leakage will also occur; and this phenomenon occurs in laser printers. Because when a piece of paper passes through the printer, the 12 rolls in the machine turn more than one round, the largest photosensitive drum turns 2 to 3 rounds, and the paper feeding roller may turn 10 rounds. When stains with equal intervals appear on the paper, it may be caused by dirty or damaged rolls.
7. The printhead movement is blocked, stop the long whistle or vibrate at the original place
This is mainly because the printhead rail will become dry after sliding for a long time, and the printhead will be blocked when it moves, which will stop printing to a certain extent. If it is not handled in time, the driving circuit may be burned out in severe cases. The solution is to apply a few drops of meter oil on the printing guide and move the print head back and forth to make it evenly distributed. After restarting, if there is still a blockage, it may be that the driver circuit is burned out and you need to get the maintenance department.
8. The printer does not print
There are many reasons for the failure of printers not printing, including printers and computers. The following are introduced separately:
1. Check whether the printer is online. On most printers, there is a light indicating the online status next to the "OnLine" button. Under normal circumstances, the online light should be on. If the indicator light is not lit or is in a flashing state, it means that the online connection is not normal. Focus on checking whether the printer power is turned on, whether the printer power switch is turned on, and whether the printer cable is correctly connected. If the online indicator light is normal, turn off the printer and turn on it again to see if the test page is normal.
2. Check whether the printer is set as the default printer. Click "Start/Settings/Printer" to check if there is a small black hook on the currently used printer icon, and then set the printer as the default printer. If there is no printer used in the Printer window, click the Add Printer icon and install it as prompted.
3. Check whether the current printer has been set to pause printing. The method is to right-click the printer icon in the Printer window and check whether there is a small hook on the "Pause Print" option in the drop-down menu that appears. If "Pause Print" is selected, please cancel the option.
4. Type some text in Notepad, and then click Print on the File menu. If you can print the test document, it means that there is a problem with the printer you are using. Focus on checking whether WPS, CCED, Word or other applications have selected the correct printer. If it is a print file generated by the application, please check whether the print output generated by the application is correct.
5. Check whether the remaining space on the computer's hard disk is too small. If the free space of the hard disk is less than 10MB, it cannot be printed. The check method is to right-click the hard disk icon for installing Windows in "My Computer", select "Properties", and check the hard disk space in the "General" tab. If the remaining space of the hard disk is less than 10MB, you must clear the "Recycle Bin" and delete temporary files, expired or no longer used files on the hard disk to free up more space.
6. Check whether the printer driver is suitable and whether the printing configuration is correct. In the "Detailed Information" option in the "Print Properties" window, check the following content: In the "Print to the following port" selection box, check whether the printer port is set correctly. The most commonly used port is "LPT1 (Print Port)", but some printers require other ports; if large files cannot be printed, you should focus on checking the "Timeout Setting" values in the "Timeout Setting" column. This option is only valid for printers directly connected to the computer, and is invalid when using network printers.
7. Check whether the printer port is open in the computer's BIOS settings. The port used by printers in BIOS should be set to "Enable". Some printers do not support ECP-type printing port signals, and the printing port should be set to "Normal, ECP+EPP" mode.
8. Check whether there are viruses in the computer, and use antivirus software to prevent viruses if necessary.
9. Check whether the printer driver is damaged. You can right-click the printer icon, select Delete, and then double-click Add Printer to reinstall the printer driver.
10. If the printer input tray is paperless or paper jams, is the printer toner cartridge, ribbon or toner cartridge effective? If it is invalid, it cannot be printed.
9. The printer is jam or can't get paper out
The most common fault of a printer is paper jams. When such a fault occurs, the indicator light on the operating panel will light up and an alarm signal is sent to the host. There are many reasons for this kind of failure, such as debris in the paper output path, paper feed rollers and other parts fail to rotate, paper box not feeding, sensor failure, etc. The method to eliminate this failure is very simple. Just open the cover and remove the jammed paper. However, be careful that the paper must be taken in the feed direction, and no knobs must be turned in the opposite direction.
If paper jams frequently, check the paper feed channel and remove debris from the output path. The front edge of the paper should be just above the metal plate. Check whether the paper output roller is worn or the spring is loose and the pressure is insufficient, that is, the paper cannot be fed into the machine. When the paper output roller is worn and cannot be replaced for the time being, emergency treatment can be performed by wrapping rubber bands. After wrapping the rubber band, the friction force of the paper pickup can be increased, which can restore the paper feeding back to normal. In addition, the paper loading tray is not installed properly and the paper quality is not good (too thin, too thick, and damp), which can also cause paper jams or paper failure.
10. Printing random characters
Whether it is a needle printer, inkjet printer or laser printer, the garbled printing phenomenon is mostly caused by damage to the printing interface circuit or the main control microcontroller. During actual maintenance, it was found that the fault of damage to the printer interface circuit is relatively common. Since the interface circuit is powered by a micro-power supply, once the interface is live and unplugged, it is easy to break down the interface chip, and generally, this type of fault can be eliminated as long as the interface chip is replaced. In addition, this phenomenon will also occur if the font library has not been loaded correctly.
