Understand the WEB page tool language XML (III) support tool

3. Companies supporting XML and their development tools

Although XML is still in the development stage and its standards are being formulated by W3C organizations, many companies have expressed their full support for XML and have developed many XML tools. Adobe's FrameMaker can be used to write XML documents. IE 4.0 launched by Microsoft can display, process and edit XML documents. Microsoft has made a commitment to support XML in the next version of Office software such as MS Word and Excel.

Netscape and Sun companies are not willing to be lonely and have expressed their willingness to support XML in their web tools. In addition to these famous companies taking action, other small companies also regard XML as a business opportunity and have devoted themselves to XML development. For example, ArborText's Cedar project aims to develop XSL; ArborText and Microsoft jointly proposed the draft XSL standard to W3C; Grif's Symposia Doc+ is a visible tool for editing XML documents.

In addition, there are Copsol's XML development tools, Norbert's XML syntax analyzer, Jade's XSL toolkit, and Serucie 98 that supports customer/server application applications, etc.
