The security settings for identifying errors in the new version of MBSA are more convenient!


In order to facilitate users to identify incorrect security settings, Microsoft has developed Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer (hereinafter referred to as MBSA). It is part of Microsoft's strategic technical guardrail. The new version of MBSA1.21 includes graphical and command-line interfaces, which can scan local or remote window systems.

New Features:

Support WinXP SP2
—Remove local update boot;
—Preferring scan results.
—Able to scan for error security settings for the following products:

WinNT 4.0, Win2000, WinXP, Win Server 2003,
Internet Information Server (IIS) 4.0, 5.0, 6.0, SQL Server 7.0 ,2000,
Internet Explorer (IE) 5.01, 6.0, and Office 2000, 2002, 2003;

—Scan the following products for error security updates:

Win NT 4.0, Win2000, Win XP, Win Server 2003, IIS, SQL,
Exchange, IE, Win Media Player, MDAC, MSXML, Microsoft VM, Office,
Content Management Server, Commerce Server, Host Integration Server,  BizTalk Server。

At present, MBSA can run stably on Win Server 2003, Win2000, WinXP.
