Some tips for input method

Super skills for Microsoft's pinyin input method

1. Tips for modifying typos

Because the basic input unit of Microsoft's pinyin input method is a statement, when entering a statement, you don't have to worry about correcting typos when you find that there are typos, but modify the entire sentence before confirming the statement. During the input process, Microsoft's pinyin input method will automatically adjust the context and modify the statement to the situation it considers most likely. Often after it is adjusted, many errors will be automatically corrected. It is best to start with the beginning of the sentence when modifying the sentence.

2. Tips to quickly return to the beginning of the sentence

After entering a sentence, press the right direction key to quickly return to the beginning of the sentence. Because the cursor moves the keys to loop.

3. Zero initials and syllable syncopation

There are some zero initial characters in the Chinese pinyin, that is, characters without initial consonants, such as "Ao" (ao4), "Ao" (ou1), etc. When entering these zero initial characters in a statement, you can get twice the result with half the effort using the syllable splitter page 1. For example, when entering "Friend Jacket", inputting the pinyin "pi ao" with syllable dividing characters (adding a space in the middle) can save a lot of trouble of modification.

4. Confirmation skills

(1) After entering a valid pinyin, Microsoft's pinyin input method is not in a hurry to close page 1 of the pinyin window so that the user can further modify the input pinyin; at this time, to confirm the pinyin you just entered, you can press the space bar or enter key, and the pinyin code will then be converted into Chinese characters.

(2) At the end of the sentence, to confirm the pinyin you just entered, you can enter a punctuation mark, and the pinyin window will disappear, and the last pinyin code and punctuation mark are simultaneously converted into components in page 1 of the word group window.

(3) If the entire sentence does not need to be modified, enter a punctuation mark (including ",", ".", ";", "?", "?" and "!") at the end of the sentence. When entering the first pinyin code of the next sentence, the previous sentence is automatically confirmed.

5. Tips for improving input efficiency

(1) The longer the input statement, the slower the statement conversion speed.

(2) Incomplete input can reduce the number of keystrokes to improve input efficiency; but on the other hand, when there are too many incomplete input spelling codes, the speed of statement conversion will slow down.

(3) When using the Southern Fuzzy Piano Characteristics, because the number of candidate words increases, the operation of word selection will increase, and the input efficiency will be lower.

(4) When users use Microsoft Pinyin input method, they should decide which feature combinations to use based on the performance of their computer, their own language habits, etc., and make necessary settings to achieve the highest usage efficiency.

6. Use the full spelling input method to enter Chinese characters in a different way

The full spelling input method can be input as long as the user has the most basic pinyin knowledge and does not need to learn it, so it is very popular. Since I am engaged in education and teaching in a primary school, I often work as a colleague to print things. In the process of using the full spelling input method, the author discovered a method of quickly input radicals, that is, first switch to the full spelling input method, and then directly enter pianpang (the pinyin of "radical"), and then some radicals of Chinese characters appear. If you find that the radical you need is not included, you can press the + or - keys to turn the pages first and back, which is very convenient.

Super skills of Wubi input method

1. Let Windows 2000/NT/XP use Wubi

Have you noticed that there is no support for the Wubi input method in Windows 2000/NT/XP, and the general Wubi input method cannot be installed and used under them. In fact, the Wubi that can support Windows 2000/NT/XP now includes several types such as Smart Wubi, Universal Wubi and the Wubi (Office 2000 installation CD) included in Microsoft Pinyin Input Method 2.0, which can be downloaded by yourself. However, at present, only the Wubi, which comes with Microsoft's Pinyin Input Method 2.0, is free (Microsoft is really generous!), and the other two must be registered.

Also, if you want to use the Wubi input method designed for Windows 9x. Then just copy all the files of Wubi input method designed for Windows 9x, including code table files.MB, input method files.IME, phrase files, help files.HLP and installer.EXE, to the System32 folder of Windows 2000/NT/XP (this is very important, not the System folder), and then execute the installer from the System32 folder to find that it has been installed correctly in the taskbar. The reason is very simple. Windows 9x and Windows Me copy input method files to the System folder, while Windows 2000 and later versions of Windwos NT can only be used. The Wubi input method designed for Windows 9x simply copy them to the System folder.

2. Add 98 king code input method

Some people may not know that there have been two versions of the Wangma Wubi input method. The first is the 86 king code and the second is the 98 king code. Most of them use the 86 king code. However, Professor Wang Yongmin modified the 98 Wang Code based on the original 86 Wang Code, which is more scientific and efficient to use. Therefore, there are still many people using it (at least one of my computer-reported friends uses the 98 King Code input method). However, the general king code input methods on the market, including the king code input methods added in Kingsoft WPS2000 and after installing Windows Me, are all 86 king codes. In fact, we just need to insert the Windows Me CD into the optical drive, find the WIN_19.CAB file, open it with WinZip, find the file in it, unzip it into a temporary folder, and then use the input method generator to compile and install it (for how to use the input method generator, please refer to the Windows Help Manual).

3. Upgrade your Wubi font input method

The input speed depends to a large extent on the size of the vocabulary library. The phrases in the Happiness Wubi input method provided by Lenovo Computer Company are obviously much more phrases than the general Wubi font input method. In fact, we just need to copy the Happiness Wubi to the System folder (Windows 9x, Windows ME) or System32 folder (Windows 2000, NT, XP) to cover the general Wubi input code table file (this operation may need to be operated under pure DOS), and then restart the computer and you can use the vocabulary in it.

4. Implement the reverse check of Chinese characters Wubi code

When entering Wubi fonts, sometimes some characters are often difficult to separate their strokes and cannot be typed out, which wastes a lot of time. In the end, they have to input them in pinyin. The next time they encounter these characters, they have to try them for a while, and finally they have to use pinyin again. Friends who have used UCDOS may still remember that we can find the Wubi input code for a certain Chinese character by pressing the Ctrl+F2 key. In fact, in Windows, we can completely use the full spelling input method to help us "disassemble the characters" and find the Wubi input code for Chinese characters. In this way, for Chinese characters that cannot be input, as long as we input it using the full spelling input method, the corresponding Wubi font encoding will appear in the encoding box. The next time we encounter the character again, we can use the Wubi code to input it, eliminating the pain of deliberate memory.

For example, if the character "Shao" does not know how to encode Wubi, then switch to pinyin input, right-click the full spelling input bar, select "Properties" in the pop-up menu, select "Full spelling input method" in the "Keyboard Properties" dialog box, click "Properties", select "Wubi Model Code" in the pop-up "Input Method Settings" box, and exit after confirmation. After typing "shao" in the full spelling input method, find the word "Shao". After selecting it with the numeric keys, a green "ujv" will appear in the encoding box. (The complete encoding should be "ujvk", and you can also enter it with "ujv", which saves more memory) This is the Wubi encoding of the character "Shao". Remember it according to the word splitting rules, and you can enter the word with the Wubi model in the future. To implement the reverse check of the other input method encoding, of course, it can be trusted to follow this method.

General super skills for input method

1. Set the cursor following status

When entering Chinese characters in Windows, there is always a love and hate prompt box that blocks some text, which affects continuing to input. If you want to see the document input, you can only use the mouse to drag this box aside. It's really annoying to do this for a long time! In fact, we can completely restore the original DOS state, and the Chinese character prompt bar is displayed in a long strip at the bottom of the screen, without affecting the entry of Chinese characters at all. Please see the next trick: Right-click the input method prompt icon in the lower right corner, select "Properties" in the pop-up menu, select the input method you want to change in the "Keyboard Properties" dialog box that pops up, such as Wubi type input method, then click "Properties", remove the "Cursor Follow" option in the pop-up dialog box, and then click the OK button. Let’s take a look at this time, are there no “obstructions” anymore? Of course, the other input methods can be done in the same way.

2. Place the input method position

Since the input method has high permissions, it is always on all windows. Sometimes when we enter Chinese characters, the input method window will cover the prompt bar. At this time, just drag the input method to any part of the screen and release the mouse. If we put the input method on the title bar of WPS2000, is it a bit like the "universal hanging input method" in UCWIN?

 3. Display the input method prompt icon

Sometimes I don’t know what kind of misoperation is, which causes the input method prompt icon on the taskbar to disappear. It is really inconvenient to use it at this time, and I don’t know what state the input method is in after changing it. This situation often occurs when novices first start learning Windows. After this situation, they often don’t know where to change it, and even if they reinstall the input method, it is in vain. This is actually a check box that is causing trouble. Just select the "Indicator on the Startup Taskbar" in the "Keyboard Properties" dialog box in the control panel to display the input method prompt icon on the taskbar.

4. Set the default status and order

When installing Windows, the default status of the input method is English. If you want to change the default state, just select the corresponding input method in the "Keyboard Properties" dialog box, click the "Set as Default" button, and then press "OK". In addition, it is also necessary to arrange the order of various input methods. Because using "Ctrl + space" can switch the input method ranked second, and using "Ctrl + Shift" can switch the input method ranked last. Therefore, the commonly used input methods can be placed in the second or last position so that they can be switched at any time. If you want to change their position on the taskbar, you can use external settings software such as Super Rabbit.

5. Display the input method prompt bar

It is also the reason for the misoperation. Sometimes I find that there is an input method prompt icon on the taskbar, but there is no prompt bar for the current input method status. How can I find the input method status prompt bar? Have you noticed that there is a pen and notebook icon on the taskbar? Move the mouse to it, click the left mouse button, and select the "Show input method status" function in the pop-up menu. At this time, the input method prompt bar appears again.

6. Quickly open your own input method

We all know that it is indeed very convenient to switch the input state between Chinese and English through the Ctrl+Space keys under Chinese Windows. In fact, this is just a predefined hotkey for a system. We can also define commonly used input methods ourselves to achieve the purpose of quickly opening them. For example, the hotkey for the full-spelling input method is Alt+1, the hotkey for the Microsoft Pinyin input method is Alt+2, and the hotkey for the Wubi type input method is Alt+5. Generally, you use the Wubi type input method to enter Chinese characters. Once you find that a character cannot be typed with Wubi type, press the Alt+1 key directly to switch to the full spelling input method, enter rare Chinese characters, first, enter Chinese characters two, and find its Wubi code, (there is already a method above) is very convenient. In addition, using this method, you can open the corresponding input method at any time, and using the mouse to select it, the input method may not be found after a window is maximized. (I don’t know if any of my friends have the same experience as me) In addition, we should not retain unused input methods on the machine, such as Zheng code input method, location code input method, etc., which is conducive to improving the speed of Windows and is also more conducive to quickly finding and opening the corresponding input method. For example, our machine only retains three input methods: full-spoke input method, Microsoft pinyin input method and Wubi type input method.

 7. Migrate your custom phrases

As a Windows user, it is probably common to reinstall the operating system, but once the operating system is reinstalled, we almost have to reinstall all the software (double-click is also one of the compulsory courses). Reinstalling the software is simple, but what should we do if the phrases we define ourselves? Actually, don’t be nervous. Let me tell you some custom phrase files for common input methods. When using them, you just need to copy them back to the System folder.

Full spelling input method:

Wubi input method: (Lenovo's Happy Wubi input method is)

Microsoft Pinyin Input Method: p*** p*** (where *** is the user name)

Intelligent ABC input method:

In addition, we want to tell you that many input method phrases are included in the *.mb file. For example, the phrases of Lenovo's Happy Wubi input method are included. You just need to copy it to your System folder and rename it (you have to delete the original file first) to achieve the Wubi type upgrade. How about it, it's great!
